Copyright and Collaborative Family Trees | GeneaBloggers

This important topic has surfaced many times the past few years as more and more of us find our research work being posted all over the Internet.  If you’re like me, you are first surprised and then shocked to see your work published without your consent.  After all, all we did was to share our work with a fellow researcher or worse yet, a family member.

Here is a great summary article on this topic.  It explains how to deal with copyright and genealogy research in an easy to understand way and also gives excellent resources.

I particularly like the sections on how to remove content from an individual or from a website.

Very useful information.  You should add this to your resource list.
